Top Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps in Spain Q3 2021

The third quarter of 2021 saw interesting trends among the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Spain, as revealed by Sensor Tower data. Here is a closer look at the performance metrics of Uber - Request a ride, Cabify, Bolt: Request a Ride, BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus, and GoTo Spain - Carsharing Madrid.

Uber - Request a ride saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 28K in late June and peaking at nearly 39K by mid-September. The app's weekly active users (WAUs) followed a similar upward trend, rising from around 731K to about 825K by the end of September.

Cabify experienced fluctuations in its weekly downloads, beginning at around 27K in late June, dipping to approximately 19K by late July, and then increasing to about 32K by mid-September. WAUs for Cabify rose from around 228K at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 318K by the end of September.

Bolt: Request a Ride demonstrated a significant rise in weekly downloads, starting at nearly 5K in late June and reaching a high of around 40K by mid-September. The app also saw an increase in WAUs, growing from about 16K to approximately 78K over the quarter.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus had relatively stable weekly downloads, fluctuating between 18K and 24K throughout the quarter. WAUs for BlaBlaCar increased from around 110K in late June to about 129K by the end of September.

GoTo Spain - Carsharing Madrid maintained a consistent download rate, starting at approximately 3.8K in late June and reaching about 4.4K by the end of September.
